As your Taney County Collector, Mona Cope, I would like to welcome you to this website. I hope you find this site easy to navigate and that having the option to pay your taxes online and print receipts provides a convenient service to you.


  • In an effort to help do our part to limit the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus, the Taney County Collector's Office WILL NOT be conducting business on a Face to Face Basis until further notice.
  • We can happily help customers make payments or print receipts online, over the phone, by email (, by mail or by DROPBOX (northwest entrance to the courthouse.)

  • The primary function of the County Collector is the collection of current and delinquent personal and real estate taxes for the various political subdivisions and taxing entities of the county.
  • Prepares separate tax statements for: Personal Property (cars, trucks, boats, livestock etc.); Real Estate (residential, commercial, agricultural); Utilities(railroad, electric, gas lines, etc.).
  • Provides Merchant & Liquor Licenses to appropriate businesses or persons.
  • Conducts delinquent tax sale in August.
  • Collector is charged with the duties of collecting the taxes due, as shown on the Assessor's records, and then distributes the funds monthly to the various taxing entities.

Office Information

  • Property tax statements are mailed by November 1st each year. Please inspect your statements and verify that all information is correct, including mailing address and all vehicles.
  • To change the address, fill out form on the back of your statement stub and return with your payment.
  • If making a payment online, you may change your address at that time or simply send to the email below.
  • All tax statements are due upon receipt and become delinquent after December 31st.
  • Payments can be made in person at our office or at our 24 hour outdoor drop box located at the north entrance of the Taney County Courthouse. Online payments are also being accepted at this website and for your convenience the 800 number at the top of your statement is for all phone payments.
  • Mailed tax payments MUST have an official US Post Office postmark on or before December 31st, to avoid additional penalties and interest. Payments postmarked after December 31st will be returned unprocessed unless late fees are included.

Our office is open during the noon hour.
The Collector's office will be CLOSED on December 24th & 25th and
January 1, 2020. We will be open 7:00 am - 5:00 pm December 26th, 27th, 30th and 31st.
Again, payments MUST be postmarked no later than December 31st to avoid penalties.
The Collector's office observes state holidays.
